Maduro: Strategic and Tactical Repercussions resulting from his capture.

John Shoemaker

It was daring, audacious, stunning, and shocking.

The capture of Mr and Mrs Maduro was a spectacular example of the US military's tactical expertise and competence.

Tactically, it was a perfectly executed multi-force, combined-arms coordination that had never been done this dramatically, with air, land, and sea assets and intelligence – all coordinated with impeccable timing, for a fast strike, capture, and escape operation.

About 30 minutes on the ground to capture them and then withdraw.

It was a masterful deployment of different types of helicopters, jet fighters, bombers, air-to-air and air-to-ground missiles, all supporting Special Operators using land vehicles to attack a military base guarded by Cuban soldiers. During the raid, 32 Cubans were killed guarding the mansion. Both Maduro and his wife were captured unharmed.

Best of all, no Americans were killed, but several were wounded.

Air assets included US stealthy Drones and AIRWACs for battlefield communications and warning. The attack also demonstrates that all the radar sites and early detection systems (made by Russia) of Venezuela were destroyed by the US, and did not detect our forces. Combined forces on this scale became an incredible force multiplier, elevating our military to the highest level of competence.

Politically, this was a cake-in-your-face move to show Democrats what it is like to succeed against a narco-terrorist enemy of the US. Democrats look like fools when they immediately came out against Trump in a show of TDS that is unshakeable. They cried outloud that Trump was creating an act of war, took action without informing Congress, was irresponsible and reckless, and risked American lives for an "illegal action."

They seem to have forgotten that many of them in the last 5 years are on TV and video (just Google it) laughing at Trump's inability to solve the Maduro problem. Yes, it is easy to see them give their disingenuous speeches, including those of Chuck Schumer, Chris Van Hollen, Chris Murphy, Karine Jean-Pierre, N Pelosi, AOC, E Warren, H Jeffries, K Harris, and so many more empty suits.

They look like total asses, embarrassing themselves and Americans for political nonsense and espousing TDS propaganda. They all harshly expressed the failure of Trump, laughing and trying to humiliate him, for not stopping Maduro in his first term when Trump was slammed with the COVID-19 crisis. At the same time, Biden announced a $25 million reward for Maduro's capture, but he did nothing about it.

Even now, the Democrats and left-liberal Islamic socialists are promoting this action as nothing more than an illegal oil-grab approved by an old, unhealthy, unhinged autocrat.

What happened to the No-Kings protest?

Aggravating the Democrat clowns, the real autocrat/dictator was Maduro, who, for more than a decade, has been responsible for thousands of drug deaths of Americans and Europeans, and fixed an election to rule over Venezuela, which forced 4 million residents to escape. We all know China supplies the ingredients for drugs, including fentanyl. In fact, Maduro met with Chinese diplomats just a few hours earlier when Trump came knocking.

The Democrats also are either ignorant or ignoring modern history: JFK in Cuba, Carter in Iran, Reagan in Granada, Bush in Panama, Obama in Somalia and Pakistan, Biden in Afghanistan and Ukraine. There are too many examples of Presidential power used by both parties for military strikes. Trump is on solid legal ground.

Furthermore, Maduro has unquestionably been working with the Cartels, Cubans, Chinese, and Russians: all clearly our adversaries affecting our national security. Maduro has been indicted twice since 2020 (Biden’s term), and the documents/evidence are overwhelming.

Trump has changed the international relations game, and the strategic implications are epic. His actions will affect Cuba, a country in total disarray and near collapse, when it is cut off from Venezuelan oil. Then we have Iran, which is experiencing the early stages of a civil war during its water drought and economic collapse after Trump bombed their nuclear facilities during the Midnight Thunder Operation. Other countries indirectly affected include Colombia, a suspected drug trafficker, which is holding an election in March; Brazil, which is holding an election in late 2026; China, which has to be impressed by the US's military prowess given its threats over Taiwan; and Russia, which wants Venezuelan oil. High on the list must be Mexico, which is controlled mainly by the Cartels. President Sheinbaum must decide how to proceed: ignore the Cartels or ignore the US.

Effectively, Trump has expanded the Monroe Doctrine and given it muscle. It also reinforces the notion that when Trump issues a warning, you had better comply or face the consequences. However, he focuses on economic growth and peace. Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay have moved in support of the US.

Such no-nonsense action is reordering the geopolitical field and may have a lasting impact on diplomacy, doctrines, and deployment of the military.

The indefatigable Trump keeps his MAGA Train rolling at high speed.

Thanks be to God.

Amen.
