Blog #144 After the Hammer, The Consequences include Death
America demonstrated its power.
It was an action to behold. It was a complex mission that was brilliantly executed.
Yes, it was historic. Operation “Midnight Hammer” was another defining moment in world history.
It ended 40+ years of appeasement with ransom payments, secret shipments of billions of dollars in cash flown in by C-130s, and decades of diplomatic gibberish with “fake negotiations”. Everything we tried was a complete failure. It was embarrassing. Obama would bow to their Arab leaders in his apology tour. Biden sustained 350 attacks on US bases in the Middle East and did nothing but talk and wish for approval, offering more money. The net result is that Iran killed over a thousand Americans in addition to thousands from other countries in terror attacks over the past decades.
Finally, sensing the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) is running out of patience, Trump gives his ultimatum. Trump plays the same game. Trump offers a 60-day notice. Iran fails to act. On day 61, IDF attacks with breathtaking efficiency. Trump gives them another notice. More “fake negotiations” and rejection by Iran. Then he brings down the hammer.
Now we are caught between a hammer and either peace or death.
Trump has said for the last decade that Iran must not get a bomb. Now, he is caught between using the hammer and doing nothing. The consequences of doing nothing are very serious. Iran could wipe out millions of Jews in an instant - a Nuclear Holocaust. It could continue its terrorist activity across half the world. Nuclear blackmail of the West could be devastating. Economies of the world would be threatened if Iran controlled the flow of oil from the Middle East. Other Arab countries would race to develop their own atomic bombs.
It could be hell on Earth.
We all know why the B-2 attack had to happen. A massive nuclear bomb development program has been underway for many years. Intelligence determined they were days or months away from having the technology. Israel’s incredibly effective Mossad says the Iranians had enough enriched uranium for up to ten atomic bombs. No one doubts they would use it against Israel. Radical Islamic ideology is uncompromising. The chants for decades about “death to Israel and America” have been their mantra. For radical Muslims, death is good.
The risk was monumental.
Will Iran seek to rebuild their nuclear program? Well, they lost billions of dollars (mostly paid for by the US) worth of their facilities, which were obliterated, and also all their top nuclear scientists and top military commanders were killed by precision IDF strikes. It will not be easy and it will take years to recover.
Politically, in the United States, Trump has the support of over 70% of all Americans, including supporters from both parties. Even some of the liberal rags support Trump, like the New York Times. However, the fact remains that this problem is not yet over. Radical left liberals are squarely against Trump and the Jews. Democrat politicians will cry foul and beat the drums for impeachment and other nonsense. We see them going from Free Gaza, Free Palestine, Free Illegal Aliens, Free Anti-Semitic and Free Anti-Genocide protesters, to Free Iran.
Iran has already threatened sleeper cell attacks in the U.S. Terror may rear its ugly head in the U.S and other countries. Anti-semitism may grow exponentially with radical left and socialist-communists leveraging the conflict to suit themselves with protests in major blue cities.
Iran will likely try to take a shortcut to give it the option to create a nuclear holocaust.
One route to follow is to Moscow, North Korea, or Pakistan. They already have nukes and could sell or trade them to Iran. Pakistan has even suggested that it could give a nuke to Iran. That would be intolerable to the West, as Iran also has ballistic missiles that can hit Europe.
China will stay out of it and let the Middle East blow up along with the West. That could be a huge benefit for China as a spectator, although it is dependent on Iran for most of its oil. That is also why the Strait of Hormuz will not be closed by Iran. China needs her oil and Iran needs money.
Russia appreciates the drones that Iran supplies to Russia for the Ukraine War, but may not want to bite off more than it can manage.
North Korea is a dangerous lone wolf. They may relish the idea of giving Iran a nuke to toss against the US and Israel.
However, lurking in the background is Pakistan, which has a friendly relationship with Iran. Both are Muslim countries, but Iran is mostly Shiite and Pakistan is Sunni. That may be the only saving grace to keep Pakistan out of this situation. Remember, too, that Pakistan has its own problems with the Hindus of India, having had recent serious conflicts in the Kashmir region.
Whatever the case, if the Iranian Government is going to seek peace, which is very unlikely in this writer’s view, then you might consider it a “miracle” - no matter what religion is practiced. Trump should get the Nobel Peace Prize if this happens.
More likely, they will seek revenge. It will take time, and it will certainly mean a continuing conflict for decades to come if the current government is still in charge. It will confirm that while the “Hammer” struck hard, the problem will not go away.
We live in an uncivilized world with dictators looking for power and glory, and religious jihadists looking to force conversions to Islam. It’s a modern-day religious worldwide war. ISIS was responsible for the suicide bombing in Syria of a Christian Church. Radical Muslims will kill to get their way, and first on their target list are Jews, followed by Christians, Hindus, and more.
We have always tried to separate government from religion. It is a key principle in our Constitution.
However, when religion is also a government with a system of justice and finance, the world will have to decide what culture it wants.
No one wants to live under the threat of a hammer, but we are dealing with a scourge to humanity that will not go away.
In the end, the Iranian people are the ones who can deliver the final hammer blow or not.
