Blog #112 Democrats Reject the Magic Solution
Democrats Reject the Magic Solution
The Democrat Party has lost reasonable rationale and basic “common sense” about many societal issues.
They ignore the proven “Magic Solution”.
We are all familiar with the most obvious insane beliefs of Progressive Democrats. A Top Five list of examples:
1. Woke/DEI – Democrats support legal discrimination and warped perspectives on sex, gender ID, merit, prejudice, and general bias for progressive purposes.
2. Rule of Law – for years, Democrats have been selective with law enforcement. They ignored immigration laws (blaming Congress), enforced sanctuaries, incentivized illegal activities from border crossings, provided benefits/incentives for illegal aliens, passive support for violent protests, and espoused so-called “social justice”, mitigating penalties for convicted criminals, while supporting lawfare against targeted opponents.
3. For decades, they were against reparations and did nothing about them, but now approve of them because of Trump’s heavy-handed action.
4. If we increase taxes on corporations and on millionaires/billionaires, Americans will win by lowering taxes for the working class. They feel it will not really impact job growth, innovation, production, and overall economic growth.
5. It is fine to support abortions while opposing the death penalty for serial killers.
Common sense is defined in many ways. For purposes of this short essay, let’s focus on the US economy. The magic formula for success is not a secret. It is also not unproven. It is straightforward, and the results speak for themselves.
One fundamental precept is that a growth-oriented society needs plenty of energy. Rather than pursue the Democrat’s mania for immediate termination of all fossil fuels that hurts any economy, common sense says we need to transition over reasonable time with a balanced energy policy that supports declining but continued use of fossil fuels (oil, coal, and natural gas) in reasonable time, while bringing online new energy sources to include nuclear, thermal, water, tidal, wind, solar, fusion, hydrogen, while focused on other energy producing innovations.
When you have lots of energy and major innovations in target industries (transportation, high technology, etc.), then growth can be made with political, academic, and legal support. It becomes a “civil society force multiplier” when it all comes together.
Where is that happening?
An excerpt from a report: States Lead the Economic Comeback in the Latest Rich States, Poor States - American Legislative Exchange Council - American Legislative Exchange Council
“The 18th edition of Rich States, Poor States demonstrates that states embracing free-market principles become magnets for families, job creators, and opportunity.”
“As Washington attempts to tackle debt and dysfunction, the states remain America’s last line of defense for fiscal responsibility and economic growth,” said ALEC President and Chief Economist Jonathan Williams. “Rich States, Poor States once again illustrates that Americans vote with their feet—leaving high-tax, high-regulation states in favor of those embracing low taxes, balanced budgets, and worker freedom. The states leading our rankings thrive because they put the people first.”

What do you notice about the above list? Consider which ones are primarily Republican and which are primarily Democratic, which have high taxes, restrictions, and regulations, and those with a strong alignment with socialistic beliefs focused on benefits and not production.
The obvious winner is the Republican. Why?
It is simple to state in clear, decisive terms.
It is, in effect, a Magic Solution.
As the 18th edition of Rich States, Poor States makes clear, the future of America’s economy is being written in the States. When lawmakers prioritize limited government, low taxes, and pro-growth reforms, the results speak for themselves: jobs are created, families prosper, and communities thrive. ALEC remains committed to equipping legislators with the tools and data they need to advance policies that put people first and build a more prosperous future for all.
Conservative values speak to less government intervention/regulation/taxation. Others include basic common sense: personal freedom, self-reliance, faith-based, with a strong work ethic. Values that focus on society as a meritocracy, value those who succeed or overachieve, require less taxes on those who contribute to society, and disincentivize those who take away from society. When the takers exceed the givers, society is in trouble.
Those who ignore common sense will reap limited rewards.
It really is not magic, but practical common sense.
MAGA means practical common sense.
